Taxes. Most of us hear the word and immediately get a sour taste in our mouth. Now tax returns, on the other hand, always get me giddy with excitement. The unknown: How much will we get back? How much will we have to pay? (gulp) What are we going to do with any money we get back? A new laptop, a new bedspread, put it in our vacation fund....the possibilities are endless! Not this year.
This year we are doing something that we've never done before. We are giving it all away. If it is $20, $200, or $2000....it won't be staying in our bank account. Would it be nice to have a new laptop? Yes. Would it be nice to have a new bedspread? Yes. (And I have been talking about getting a new one since Dustin & I got married almost 7 years ago.) Would it be nice to put it in our vacation fund? Yes. This year ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We have a house over our head, food in our bellies, clothes to wear, and everything we need. This year we are changing the way we do things in the Stephens' household.
What could we do with our tax return?

Shameless plug: I also happen to know some missionaries who desperately want to get to Haiti in August of this year...divide up that little tax return by 12 and become a financial partner HERE.
It is time to start living a little radical.
